Re: Cheaper petrol anyone?

I have to say my "bullshit-o-meter" is registering 10! But I have email addresses I can sacrifise for a punt on this.

Re: Cheaper petrol anyone?

I think this is much better;

I especially like the specialists fuels section

Re: Cheaper petrol anyone?

Surely our efforts would be better spent on one of these:

http://www.bioking.co.uk/

Re: Cheaper petrol anyone?

Haha! Yeah, these are some funny people!

"Petrol and other fuels are dangerous and should be handled only with the appropriate equipment and should not be sent through the post."
"Vin Diesel is a very entertaining actor, not a biofuel."

Shame it's not real though... I might order a litre and see what happens.

Re: Cheaper petrol anyone?

I looked into this about 6 months ago and it works out about £1.20 per litre

I would suggest trying to run your car on it first, I ran my Astra on sunflower oil and methanol for about a week once and although it ran ok, it was noiser and less economical. You can mail order BioDiesel in £25 litre drums from a depot in Stroud which i might try.

Re: Cheaper petrol anyone?

If our efforts are better spent on creating our own biofuels then why doesn't anyone do it?

For exactly the same reason no-one brews their own beer. Its far easier to pop down to the supermarket and pay money for someone else to do all the hard work.

So as no-one can be arsed to brew their own beer or process their own biofuel isn't it far easier to register with a website who may provide a 10p per litre discount on fuel for no more than the cost of an e-mail address?

Or do nothing and run the risk of being overwhelmed by the smugness of those who actually bothered?

Re: Cheaper petrol anyone?

Your right, but i'll tell you what.

Ill source old cooking oil in a view to recycling it and if you really get fuel at 10p per litre cheaper consistantly and with no fucking round, ill buy a BioDiesel generator.

I get payed to buy fuel and my car costs 9ppm to run in Diesel making me 4ppm on the rate I get payed. It can only be a good thing.
