Re: Windows Vista

"to use in a year or so once Vista has had its major bugs fixed and is more widely supported" - I reckon a year is optimistic mate!

Re: Windows Vista

year or so
Yeah ok. Perhaps that should say "Year or two"!! Haha!

Re: Windows Vista

Are there ANY drivers availiable?

Do you need it?

Re: Windows Vista

Driver support is minimal at the moment, but I figure this will be worth it in the long run. We will see I suppose!

Re: Windows Vista

i have a ligit copy of windows 3.11 with a serial if you need it.

Re: Windows Vista

Great!

I don't need Vista afterall! I can run Windows For Workgroups on that version of DOS 6.22 I have at home.

Now all I need is a PC with a floppy drive....

Re: Windows Vista

Is that a 3.5" floppy drive or a 5.25" floppy drive?

Jez

Re: Windows Vista

Driver support is thin -- I don't think there's a 32bit nVidia driver yet, for example, although I think there is a 64bit one.

I've used it a bit, a few people in work have had MSDN copies for a while. It's very underwhelming. All the cool stuff has either been taken out (WinFS) or backported to XP (WinFX, PowerShell).
