Re: Mozilla Firebird v0.7

I use the same setup

v0,7 winxp etc.

No problem like that.

Re: Mozilla Firebird v0.7

Probably my connection being crappy. Has it gone away now?

There's an ideal solution to this: we all chip in about a fiver a month and put arawn on it's own ADSL connection, seperate from mine. Then any amount of downloading by me, or buggering about with my LAN, won't effect your access to arawn. It would also give me a second landline to use as a business number, which would be handy. However, I imagine you cheapskates wouldn't be interested in something that actually cost cahs moneys.

Re: Mozilla Firebird v0.7

You know us too well. Besides, for £40 a year you can get good hosting with 250mb and 3gb transfer.

Re: Mozilla Firebird v0.7

250Mb would hold a little over a fifth of our gallery (1102Mb and counting), and leave no room for the email (394Mb as of today) and other content (500Mb or so). I'm not sure you can affordably host eggwan somewhere else, it's just too big.

I don't think it's to do with the connection to arawn as it has happenend fairly consistentley since friday night and it is only when the Shoutbox is refreshing.

I'll have a look tonight, just thought that someone may have come accross it before?

Re: Mozilla Firebird v0.7

Neglected to mention also -- although we don't use much bandwidth (our busiest month ever was only 600Mb), at those file sizes, a full backup is 2Gb. I back the email archives and the postnuke/wiki data up three times a day! I'd burn all of the bandwidth just doing a bare minimum of backing up data.
